California State University Monterey Bay
CSUMB is a WASC accredited institution. With the closing of Fort Ord in 1993 and the relocation of its 13,000 soldiers and their dependents, the community looked to replace the military economy with an educational industry. The result was the establishment in 1994 of California State University Monterey Bay. This residential, four-year campus offers numerous undergraduate and graduate programs and attracts students and faculty from around the world. TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING
The Monterey Peninsula Adult School
Through its Regional Occupation Program, the Adult School offers vocational and technical training in a variety of fields to high school students and adults at its campuses in Seaside (295 La Salle Avenue) and Monterey (222 Casa Verde Way).
