There are many things to think about including regulations, financing, taxes, permits and more. Many resources exist, whether you have been in business for many years or are just starting out. Central Coast Small Business Development Center
The mission of the SBDC is to provide business owners and managers with information, training and expert individual consulting. Established in 1988 to meet the specialized needs of the small business community on the Central Coast, they are here to help you succeed, and through your success, to help stimulate our local and regional economy.

Marina Technology Cluster
The Marina Technology Cluster grows successful businesses by delivering proven, rigorous, business development services to talented technology-driven entrepreneurs in collaboration with world-renowned partners, including science, education, government, and regional research institutions.

Professional Women's Network of the Monterey Peninsula (PWN)
Founded in 1983, the Professional Women’s Network of the Monterey Peninsula (PWN) is Monterey County’s largest organization of professional women, with about 200 members representing a wide spectrum of professions. PWN members look first within the network for products or services they need and actively promote the businesses of fellow members. The organization also provides on-going business education to help members become more savvy in their businesses.

SCORE
Business counseling by seasoned executives is provided free of charge to small business owners and budding entrepreneurs. Workshops on 'Starting a Business' and 'Business Plans' are also provided. For appointments contact the Monterey Peninsula Chamber office at (831) 648-5360. SCORE is a Small Business Administration sponsored organization.
