The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce recognizes the economic, educational, social and cultural contributions provided by the Federal/Military facilities throughout the region.

The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce supports:
 

1. Efforts to retain, further integrate and optimize the use of these Military and Federal facilities in the community;

2. Programs specifically designed to facilitate regular communication between the business community, military facility officials and local government;

3. Increased involvement and/or sponsorship from Federal/military facilities in local business programs and events;

4. Continued efforts to encourage government officials and lawmakers (both at the federal and state levels) to work judiciously to make available the abandoned, underused or unused Military and Federal property.
